Among the many campaigns I spearheaded, Tuesday Tips & Tricks stands out. This was a weekly 30-minute live video show that started off as a little “side project” and ultimately lasted a year and a half, the remainder of my time at WeVideo.
Practice what you preach! As a video editing software company much of our target audience consisted of aspiring YouTubers and small business owners creating their own content on a budget. Tuesday Tips & Tricks provided an opportunity to further connect with our audience by providing a platform for discussion as well as giving us insights on feature requests that we were able to relay to our product team.
We used Streamyard to broadcast the show live to Facebook, YouTube, and X (at the time, Twitter). Shows varied in focus ranging from feature highlights, live Q&A, how-to videos, and interviews with industry professionals. After airing the show, we created a blog post with a written transcript as well as a summary featuring the highlights. Additionally, we sliced the lengthy episode into “bite-sized” pieces (60 seconds or less) and posted them on Instagram and YouTube branding them as Quick Tips. We often referenced these in our email workflows & in-app messaging (Intercom) as well.
